Portland Community College:

Six clock hours per student

Each driving lesson begins with an overview of the lesson plan and goals. The lessons follow designated routes designed to challenge the student and cover high accident areas such as busy intersections, freeway off ramps, and curved two-lane roads. Students are evaluated by their teacher and given feedback for practice driving (with their parents) at the end of each lesson. Instructors are required to remain patient and professional throughout the driving lessons.

Students pass the course only after demonstrating their ability to satisfactorily perform critical driving tasks. Lessons are given in our dual controlled vehicle.

All vehicles have automatic transmission, power steering and air conditioning and meet DMV and ODOT requirements.
