Private Lessons

At Oregon Driver Training Institute, every instructor is an DMV-certified and Oregon State certified driving instructor. The majority of our instructors are also licensed school teachers who understand the classroom dynamic as well as the excitement and anxiety that comes with learning to drive.

Driving lessons cover or can be customized to fit your skill level.  Lessons are based on the skill level of the student.  Some of the environments we teach are:

  • Residential Driving
  • Parking and Backing
  • City Driving
  • Freeway Driving
  • Country Driving

Behind the wheel lessons cover simple to complex driving skills. 

ODTI TEACHES STUDENTS HOW TO AVOID BECOMING THE VICTIM OF OTHER DRIVERS' MISTAKES! Lessons are taken in our dual-controlled, automatic transmission car. Lessons are offered year-round and are scheduled at your convenience. Evening and Saturday appointments are available. Lessons are scheduled once or twice a week to allow practice time between lessons.

Rates

    • 1 1/2 hour lesson                            $100
      One and half-hour lessons to focus on specific driving skills.
    • 6-Hour Package                            $350
      Six hour package is given in 4-1 1/2-hour lessons. Work on skills that need improvement.
    • DMV License preparatory lesson
      An 1 1/2-hour assessment is required prior to your DMV exam for $100.
      If your skill level allows you then use our vehicle to take the DMV test for $50 an hour.
    • 4-Hour DMV Re-Exam package   $230
      Four hour package if for clients that are required to re-test with DMV.
    • No-Show fee                                    $40
      You must give 24-hours notice of cancellation to avoid a no-show fee. 
    • Travel Fee (based on location)     $10-20 per lesson
