Private Programs

Portland Community College:

The program is available year round, with classes starting in mid September, January, April and July. Classes are held once a week during the school year (Saturdays) and each classroom session is four hours. The driving is scheduled outside of class time and usually takes longer to complete. The summer session (except for the behind the wheel) is condensed into a three week course and meets Monday -Thursday.

The course consists of the following:

• 34-36 hours of classroom
• 6 hours driving
• 6 hours observation
